THINGS TO CHECK WHEN YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING A PORSCHE

SERVICE HISTORY

Check that the vehicle has a Full Service History with a stamped service book and invoices to prove that the work has been completed.

MODIFIED VEHICLES

If any modifications have been made to the vehicle ensure that the original parts are included in the purchase.

HISTORIC INFORMATION

With late 996's and 997's suffering from bore-score and IMS failures request any previous information or reports regarding the car you are looking to purchase.

EQUIPMENT

Check if both keys are available and operational.
Check the originality of components including radio, seats, interior lighting (may have been replaced with LEDs).

MECHANICALLY SOUND

Check there are no obvious signs of water or oil leaks, no ticking noises coming from the engine, no excessive smoke from the exhaust, vehicle performs well during a road test.
